Brice is in St. Vincent! On Christmas Eve our customs agent quit and said she was too busy...so Brice scrambled to get a new one and hopes to in person be able to get things out of customs this week. The new agent did say supplies for WISE should be discounted, so we are seeing this delay as a blessing.
I flew down to see my family and new 2 week old nephew in Florida for a few days while Brice sets up our home. I figured taking the kids would be easy with 2 short flights. Unfortunately, our first flight at 6 am got stuck on the tarmac for 2 hours.....which caused us to miss our next flight, so they had to put us on 3 additional flights to get us here. All day I kept hearing, "Where is the dad? Here is some candy to quiet your kids. Here are some kleenexes. Sorry the flight has been delayed." 16 hours later mommy carrying the baby and 2 carry-ons, a 5 yr old pulling her suitcase, and a 2 yr old dragging his suitcase made it to...to Florida at least. The end of the trip begins Saturday.

Making a List & Checking it Twice
Customs List Typed and Sent with every box labeled what is inside & the value - check
Boxes ready to be loaded on the truck to head to the dock in Miami by boat - check
Amanda & kids enjoying the last of this furlough time with christmas pagents & parties & quality time with friends - check
Brice preparing to drive to Miami with his dad and a big truck loaded down with supplies for WISE and our family – check
We are so close to departure! Brice leaves Dec 27th to get to St. Vincent and battle with customs. Amanda & kids will follow Dec 31st. We ask for your prayers -
- As Brice drives the things this week to Miami and then as he talks to customs officials that they would be gracious and not overcharge, and so finances can be used on ministering there.
-For the students as for most of them this is their first Christmas away from home.
-For the staff as they continue to lead & the changes for our team with a new director and family coming on board
-Praise for a great & busy, joy filled extended time in the states to visit churches here and talk to more churches about partnering with WISE and the chance to see family and friends and also be with OCC family and students.
-Praise for the 2 groups that came & helped do so much for our new home (our first one that is ours with our own things in it since we married!) from putting in the ceiling to water to everything!
-Praise as we miss Haiti and our friends too but the new family God brought there and the families already there we see God using them in huge ways of service there & are so thankful to see God's love being shown all over in this big family for Him.
- For the graduates of WISE that are ministering all over.
- For our kids as we transition countries…Naiyah is so excited to meet her new friends and have a bunk bed. Beckett (we hear this is a stage for 2 year olds) is having a hard time with not being in the same place and routine and meeting new people constantly. Paxson of course is just enjoying eating and being held.
Thanks for all your help as we transition through support, prayers, & encouragement.
