Local hair
Our neighbors wanted Naiyah's hair to match their daughters.....so they braided her hair for her.
After a week, we took it out.......it took 45 minutes with both of us untwisting to get this masterpiece!

Opening our home - in a different way
We always pictured we'd open our home to adopt a child. Since that failed twice, we've seen God working in a different way. 3 years ago we got to have our nephew live with us until his adoption was finalized. This month his birth mom came to live with us. She was delivering another baby and needed a temporary home until the baby came.
The only thing we asked from her was to be a part of our family - eat meals with us, have devotions with us, and go to church with us.
Baby boy came healthy and mom went back to her hometown. We're praying for her as she tells us she is now attending church regularly!
