Renewed Hope

This is the time we thought we'd be holding our newest baby.  It's a time we are so thankful God has helped bring WISE along and the busyness of getting the school ready to re-open in January has helped us not dwell on the time as much as we had thought we would dread this month.

But it's still in our minds no matter how much we work on other things.  Several friends have had their babies we were due along with and makes me wish even more we could be there snuggling their babies just to hold a sweet newborn.

And then just today our teammates and dear friends gave us their beloved recliner they have treasured  for over 30 years.  Getting new things is hard here and very expensive....so this was such a special gift.  Even more so as I had hoped to have one here for a new baby to rock in.

 So, today I got to just sit and rock in it and treasure in my heart all the things that I have of our little one in heaven.  The sweet ultrasound pic, the doctor's notes, and the song my friend gave me which I will quote below.  It's not much we have, but this unborn was so loved.

 And while we hope we can fill this chair with another rocking baby, until then God gave me such a renewed hope today.  As I rocked my 4 year old came and snuggled and just wanted to rock and my 9 year old just wanted to be read to in this sweet chair.  I am thankful God has given us this day together.

This song brought so much peace to me:

1
Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
He, whose heart is kind beyond all measure,
Gives unto each day what He deems best,
Lovingly its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.
2
Every day the Lord Himself is near me,
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me,
He whose name is Counsellor and Pow’r.
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
“As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,”
This the pledge to me He made.
3
Help me then, in every tribulation,
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation,
Offered me within Thy holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E’er to take, as from a father’s hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till with Christ the Lord I stand.

I do hope and pray whatever you are going through, you can have God's hope too!
